Vintage 1963 Vogue Knitted summer Fashion for Children

I find these knitted swim suits interesting. They remind me of the wool swimsuits from the 1940's. These instructions are from the Vogue Knitting Book Spring - Summer 1963

Boy's swim trunks and girl's tri-color bathing suit

This striped cover up with the little fringe is just to cute

These three summer children's fashion should be easy to knit up in no time at all and be ready for summer fun, enjoy!

So what are you making for your kids this summer?

  2. I really get a thrill from vintage patterns and wish I had an unlimited amount of hours in the day to make them. And, Your new sign looks great! It will so nice when you get a larger space and your brick and mortar place.

  3. These are so adorable! I love the old swimwear. In college I had to interview someone with regards to historical fashion. I chose my grandfather instead of a woman. He gave me photos including one with a swimsuit that was 1 piece with a tank top. It was great!

  4. I didn't realize they were using wool for swimsuits so late in the 20th century! Very interesting. And uncomfortable-sounding.
